Each package supports our mission to help everyone connect with nature, provides recognition for your business’ generous contribution, and offers unique benefits to your employees.

Many families across the North East face significant hardship. With your help, together we can:

• Tackle health inequality – helping disadvantaged children and adults to access the proven physical and mental health benefits of time outdoors
• Reduce social isolation – supporting vulnerable people such as single-parents and adults suffering with mental illnesses to socialise with others in specialist group provision
• Tackle the climate and ecological crises – carefully conserving the West Boldon Lodge nature site to sequester carbon and provide an invaluable wildlife refuge for declining species.

We will work with you to ensure your financial or staff contributions have a direct positive impact for local people. Contact us to discuss a bespoke package to meet your needs or choose from one of the options below:

·         Discovery package
£500 will help 30 children to discover nature. We will work with a class of local school children to help them discover the nature on their doorstep, either at West Boldon Lodge or in a park or green space close to them. Up to 3 members of your staff can join the session to help children discover nature and see the benefits for themselves (optional).
We’ll also plant a tree at West Boldon Lodge with a plaque to recognise your contribution and issue a press release and social news article highlighting your sponsorship.

·         Explorer package
£2,000 will support 60 pre-schoolers and their families to explore nature at our regular Forest Playschool programmes. Your sponsorship would enable us to offer 5 struggling families the opportunity to join our programme for at least 10 weeks, learning through staff-led play in our safe and stimulating woodland environment, as well as subsidising the cost for other families and helping to ensure the long-term viability of this project.
Additionally, we will host up to 10 staff for a team building volunteering day (optional), where you’ll help to enhance our Woodland Realm for the pre-schoolers and families, for example by building a bug hotel, painting our tyre dragon, or installing new play equipment and we’ll install a plaque to show how you’ve contributed. We’ll also issue a press release and recognise your support on our promotion of Forest Playschool with your logo or name which will reach 100’s of local families.

·         Connection package
£10,000 will enable at least 150 families to create a meaningful and long-lasting connection with nature through a series of at least 5 dedicated community events with free or low-cost attendance for many local families facing challenging circumstances. We’ll work with communities to identify local need, then plan specialist events which could include anything from creating nature trails in local parks to helping families visit the beach for the first time, or doing conservation activities as a family on a local wildlife site. We’ll reserve up to 50 spaces for your employees and their families.
We’ll also run a conservation team building day for up to 20 employees, so they can connect with nature themselves and help improve the local natural environment. We’ll include your branding on promotion of all the events and at the events with bunting or banners, issue 3 press releases focusing on some of the different benefits your sponsorship has delivered, and install a plaque at the entrance to West Boldon Lodge recognising your contribution.
