Family events
West Boldon Lodge run activities for babies to adults. All our events are inclusive for everyone to have fun and learn. From open days to come and enjoy the nature site self-led, to our ever popular Santa’s Winter Woodland, and our weekly Forest Playschool sessions, there’s opportunities for everyone to join our team for a fun day out.
Places are always limited and often sell out. Pre-booking is essential. Click on the events below for more information and to book.
Forest Playschool
Get outdoors with your little ones! Join us for our popular Forest Playschool programme where you can explore our purpose built forest school area and take part in some outdoor activities, from crafts to bug hunts! Suitable for ages 1-5. Block bookings for a term are available during term time and one off taster sessions are available in school holidays.
Forest Playschool is an outdoor experience for you and your child to explore, discover, and get close to nature and takes place in our purpose built nursery area of woodland called The Realm.
Old/scruffy clothes are best as we get quite muddy in some sessions! All sessions are outdoors in almost all weather conditions – wellies or sturdy shoes are a must. Play in the mud kitchen and swing in the hammocks then enjoy a cup of hot chocolate around the fire with your forest school friends. Allergies and food requirements are catered for just let staff know before the sessions.
